ARTIST STATEMENT
Random gestures that present themselves as ordinary subjects is what I try to find. When I see a scene that excites me, getting closer lets me explore the subjects from a different perspective. I discover and make a connection with lines, patterns, textures and shadows. The compositions become abstractions that are not always recognizable as they are suspended between reality and my visual interpretation. These images document a particular time and place, while revealing their individual and inherent beauty. My goal is to have the viewer pause and look again to see their surroundings from a new point of view.
